One evening a father was having a "tiger dad" moment with his daughter as they worked together on a math problem. Suddenly she turned towards him and said in an exasperated voice, "Papa, I am trying my best."

Embedded in those words is one of life's most important axioms. Most people do not wake up in the morning and say, "Today, I am going to be the biggest screw up I can be."

So, why do we encounter so many situations in everyday life where we get upset with others for not meeting our expectations?

Is it because they approach situations differently than we do?

Is it because we have trained ourselves to be problem solvers and hence our first instinct is to look for issues in any situation as opposed to what's working?

Is it because we are liberal with criticism and stingy with praise?

Whatever the reason, it demoralizes the person on the receiving end of our "problem solving."

Let's try to find the goodness in others' actions.

I posit that our teams will be inspired, energized, and ultimately more successful if we do this consistently and with authenticity.

It's hard, but I guarantee that the outcome will be worth the effort!

Are you ready to try your best?

BE PRESENT

"Being present" means being respectful of the other person's presence, their ideas, their voice.
It emphasizes the meritocracy of ideas.
It prevents the superciliousness expressed via the mindless tapping on keyboards and smartphone screens — even as we pretend to listen to the arguments and presentations that took somebody countless hours to prepare.

Leaders lead by example. If you are finding your teams constantly distracted, ask yourself if you are always present.
Lets face it: multitasking only sounds great in theory. So, put away that electronic device the next time you decide to spend quality time with somebody.
The only quality time is being fully present.

Believe you are a creator

Shakti Gawain once said " Every moment of your life is infinitely creative and the universe is endlessly bountiful. Just put forth a clear enough request, and everything your heart desires must come to you."

We hold the power to create whatever we desire. Our ability to manifest the changes we desire depends on the depth and passion of our beliefs and on the focus of our attention.

With this understanding, we as individuals and as society, can design a whole new future for ourselves. Our challenge is to break free of society's worldview, to truly empower our imaginations to create brand new realities. It brings a whole new meaning to 'vision'.

What do you passionately desire for your own life? For the Planet?

By believing passionately in something that still does not exist, we create it. The non-existent is whatever we have not sufficiently desired"-Nikos Kazantzakis.

This is for us to ponder on

A poor boy loved a rich girl. One day the boy proposed to her and the girl said,"Hey! Listen, your monthly
salary is my daily hand expenses. How can I be involved with you? How could you have thought of
that? I can never love you. So, forget about me & get engaged to someone else at your level". But somehow the boy could not forget her so easily. Sometime 10 years later, they stumbled into each other in a shopping mall. The lady said, "Hey! You! How are you? Now I'm married and do you know how much my husband's
salary is? $1,700 per month! Can you believe that? And he is also very smart." The guy's eyes got wet with tears on hearing those words. A few seconds later, her husband came but before the lady could say a word, her husband seeing the guy, said, "Sir you're here? Meet my wife."Then he said to his wife,"This is my boss,I'm also one of those working on his $100million project. And do you know a fact my dear? My boss
loved a lady but he couldn't win her heart. That's why he has remained unmarried. How lucky would that lady havebeen if she had married him. These days, who will love someone that much he said to his wife. The lady looked in total shock but couldn't utter a word.

Life is so short and it's just like a mirror. You can only see as much as it reflects. So don't be too arrogant and proud of yourself by looking down on people because situations change with time!

Everyone has potential! We might not find ourselves in this exact situation but might be a similar one.......

Lets define Rich.........

Someone once said that its not so much trouble to get rich as it is to tell when we have got rich.

How do we then define Rich"?

If we want greater wealth, what does that mean for us? A large annual income? If so, how large? A beautiful home? Health? Security? Happiness? To be in service?

Lets great really specific about what would bring us a rich life. There are no right or wrong answers here and please do not judge your desires, just dig deep to discover what you really want. If you want things, explore what qualities of  life those things represent to you.

Henry Ward Beecher said and i quote-" No one can tell whether they are richer or poor by tuning to their ledger. It is the heart that makes a person rich. One is rich according to what one is, not according to what one has".

Obviously, this is the truth, we are not measured by what we have but by who we really are. If we command our wealth, we shall be rich and free but if our wealth commands us, we are then poor indeed!!

Friends, think on this little piece and lets make it right.

What is Love?

"When mystics use the word love, they use it very carefully -- in the deeply spiritual sense, where to love is to know; to love is to act. If you really love, from the depths of your Consciousness, that love gives you a native wisdom. You perceive the needs of others intuitively and clearly, with detachment from any personal desires; and you know how to act creatively to meet those needs, dexterously surmounting any obstacle that comes in the way. Such is the immense, driving power of love."
-- Eknath Easwaran
"Therefore, when I say that ‘I love,’ it is not I who love, but in reality Love who acts through me. Love is not so much something I do as something that I am. Love is not a doing but a state of being - a relatedness, a connectedness to another mortal, an identification with her or him that simply flows within me and through me, independent of my intentions or my efforts."
-- Robert A. Johnson
"When you are aware that you are the force that is Life, anything is possible. Miracles happen all the time, because those miracles are performed by the heart. The heart is in direct communion with the human soul, and when the heart speaks, even with the resistance of the head, something inside you changes; your heart opens another heart, and true love is possible."
-- Don Miguel Ruiz
